A unique feature of the Boundless program, is that family connections are intentionally nurtured and valued. The Boundless Coordinator is primarily responsible for matching youth with a mentor, striving to build trust and rapport with parents, guardians, and/or siblings of the youth. This role oversees and supports program volunteers, youth recruitment and intakes, goal setting, monthly workshops, case management, crisis support, and maintains program records and budget. The Boundless Coordinator connects with community partners and builds networks that support our wrap-around model of care. Additionally, this role acts as a liaison for summer camp programming, coordinating registration and assisting families with funding applications. The Boundless Coordinator supports Inner Hope’s vision, mission and values by engaging the work of reconciliation and actively incorporating Indigenous cultural teachings into the Boundless program. This role reports to the Director of Programs and collaborates with other Program Coordinators to provide optimal care to our community.
Location: Vancouver, BC.
Schedule: 40 hours/week; some evenings and weekends required.
Compensation: Starting salary $49,920 - $53,040 based on education and experience + Extended Health and RRSP Matching benefits (following the 1st year).

Boundless Coordinator Primary Responsibilities
Responsible to: Director of Programs (Mark Ang)
Oversee Boundless Participant Recruitment and Intake
- Attend Inner Hope events and prioritize networking within the Inner Hope community, following up on all internal and external referrals
- Meet with youth and parent/caregiver to complete intake forms
- Pair youth with mentors
- Facilitate goal setting each session (Jan. May, Sept.), using the Medicine Wheel to develop goals that support a balanced way of living focused on the four aspects of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being
- Communicate regularly with youth (minimum monthly) through social media, phone calls/text, and/or in-person to build rapport, collaborate on goal attainment, and reinforce program expectations
- Empower and collaborate with parents/caregivers in caring for youth as we recognize each youth is part of an extended family support system
- Coordinate crisis intervention when necessary, utilizing a network of local resources
- Partner with mentors to transition youth out of the program
- Support family members of program participants and other core participants who fall under the “Support” program area as time allows (e.g. moving, meals, rides, crisis intervention)
- Collaborate with Volunteer Coordinator for mentor intake/orientation/exit processes and take corrective action with mentors if behavioural issues arise
- Meet with each mentor at least once per session (4 months) to provide coaching
- Monitor mentor expense reimbursements via ShareVision
- Partner with Cultural Mentors to ensure program elements are culturally inclusive and offer contextualized opportunities to explore faith
- Oversee set-up, transportation, food, supervision, and clean-up for all program events
- Plan and oversee monthly life skill workshops in collaboration with the DoP, including a focus on Indigenous cultural teachings led by Inner Hope community members (select topic, schedule, arrange volunteer support and/or speaker)
- Collaborate with the DoP on an annual program plan that includes events and cultural activities (ie. camping trip, Christmas party, powwows, Hoobiyee, etc.)
- Collaborate with the Director of Programs to schedule summer camp weeks and reserve spots in January
- Liaison with Inner Hope families and camps to coordinate registration and funding applications for overnight camps
- Maintain working knowledge of available local resources for vulnerable youth including those related to Indigenous participants (ie. status, FNHA etc.) and those involved with/have been involved with MCFD/VACFSS care (ie. youth agreement)
- Build relationships with schools (including alternative programs), camps, Christian ministries and social service providers for partnering, advocacy and connecting youth with
- Champion the wraparound services of Inner Hope in all external relationships
- Manage and update Boundless youth profiles, intake documents, attendance records, communication logs, and goals on ShareVision
- Review reports after each session from mentor communication logs, medicine wheel tool, and goal logs on ShareVision and ensure mentors are regularly updating their records
- Oversee program budget
- Update all other community support in the appropriate program records in ShareVision
- Collaborate with the DoP to set annual program targets and track program measurables on ShareVision (monthly and annual reports)
- Develop and revise project materials as needed (ie. intake forms, resources for participants, etc.)
- Attend all weekly staff meetings
- Attend weekly meetings with supervisor
- Be an ambassador for Inner Hope:
- Seek to expand volunteer/donor network including support for annual fundraisers and mentor recruitment as time permits
- Lead a Boundless team in the annual Ride for Refuge, recruiting Boundless participants to ride and/or fundraise
- Collaborate with other program staff on cross-program events and opportunities within the community
- Connect Boundless participants with volunteer opportunities at IH including Community Advisory Committee
- Connect graduating Boundless participants with Post Secondary Coordinator
