Who are we here for?

Inner city youth and young adults in East Vancouver who desire a safe, stable home environment with adult support and mentoring.  ​

WHAT IS THE HOME LIKE?

  • Residents typically come to us from unstable home environments or homelessness. We offer a substance-free environment with practical supports for those who want a life free from addiction.
  • The Home is designed with structure and accountability to support youth striving to move forward in their lives. Youth must be attending school or working. For those in transition or still working out their goals, we will gladly come alongside you with support and resources.
  • The Home is inspired by Christian values. We welcome youth from all cultural and faith backgrounds. Spiritual mentoring is available for those who desire this component in their lives.

THE PROCESS

  • Referral - Youth can refer themselves or an advocate may refer on their behalf. Initial
  • Meeting - A visit/information meeting is arranged to allow the youth to meet a House Parent and discern if this housing environment is a good fit.
  • Interview - If the youth chooses to pursue living in The Home, an interview is scheduled. Based on the dynamics of the current residents, availability, and circumstances of the youth inquiring, the youth may be offered a room.
  • Rental Agreement - An agreement is signed by the youth and the House Parents. Room and board is adapted to the individual circumstances of each youth
