HOLISTIC SUPPORT: LIZ'S STORY

Liz’s family met Carla and Jenny through a church youth group 20 years ago, before Inner Hope existed. She was only 10 years old at the time.
I’ve been connected to Inner Hope since the beginning. Jenny and Carla helped take care of me and my little brother when we needed support. Though Inner Hope, I got help with school—from registering in grade 11, all the way to graduating. They journeyed with me until I finished a Family and Community Counseling diploma.
They continue to walk with me as I parent my children. When I was pregnant with Eliza (my second child), I was in need of supportive housing, and was able to live at The House. Inner Hope has always been a second home for me and my kids, and a support that is always there for me and my daughters if we ever need it. Maleena (my oldest daughter) is now the age I was when I met Jenny and Carla.
Inner Hope also walked with me as I dealt with PTSD and depression. With Inner Hope's support, I have overcome obstacles in my mental health, education, and a career. It’s a great community that supports people holistically through its wrap-around programs.
