OUR AMAZING SUMMER INTERNS
IZAIH'S SUMMER
“If it wasn’t for Inner Hope, Mark, and Nate, I wouldn’t have thought of doing Counselor-in-training (CIT) at Camp Qwanoes. In the CIT program, I learned a lot from the sessions like apologetics and evangelism. I really appreciated the community there. They were there for me when I needed it. Camp also taught me how to keep my faith going after the summer, like going to church. Next year I am hoping to take the 8-month Kaleo program at camp”
For the past year and a half, Nate Hartley has given leadership to our Discipleship programming. He came across research that shows that young people who do leadership training at Christian camps are more likely to grow and maintain a vibrant faith. As a result, the last two summers Nate has focused his support on helping our youth enroll and successfully complete leadership training at Camp Qwanoes.
Iziah was one of eight youth who completed a leadership course at Camp this year. These youth are an inspiration in our community. Their passion for Christ, for their family, and for their future will make a huge difference in the years to come. As Nate moves on to complete his final internship for his Master’s of Divinity, we thank him for his vision and dedication during his time on the staff team. We are glad that he is continuing to be a part of the Inner Hope community as a volunteer. |
We’re thrilled to be gearing up to participate in the Ride for Refuge again!!
This year we are blessed by a donor willing to double any gift of $100 or more (up to $10,000)!

OUR COMMUNITY RIDERS
We love the Ride for many reasons. One is the fact that our community rides with us every year. The Ride gives us all a chance to fundraise together for a cause we all care about. This year we had the honour of experiencing something unique with one of our youth riders.
Drey really wanted to do the Ride with us this year - but he had a problem. He didn't know how to ride a bike! So last week he got practicing (with the help of Mark and his mentor) and learned to ride in an afternoon. Here he is on his first bike ride!! Go Drey!! Support Drey and the youth team! ride.w-ith.us/Boundless PS: Every youth is hoping to raise at least $75 so they can get a ride t-shirt. If you see a youth that hasn't yet reached this goal feel free to sponsor them. They would be thrilled! |

A SEASON OF GROWTH
We felt so blessed this summer to be able to gather with so many of our youth, young adults and families and offer a time of rejuvenation. This period of reconnection and replenishment has born great fruit.
After a summer of spiritual grwoth, five youth are planning to attend a new small group with Faith, our new discipleship coordinator, and are just deciding on a topic of study. Our young adults are brimming with energy as they begin the fall season.. Several have new jobs or new post-secondary opportunities that they are pursuing. This summer really was a gift from all of you who have supported us this season. Thank you for being part of our journey. You have had more of an impact than you know.

OUR AMAZING SUMMER INTERNS
We give thanks this year for our two amazing summer interns- whose love and care for the youth will have an impact for years to come. Here are some of their reflections from their time with us.
