SPIRITUAL CARE
Spiritual Care at Inner Hope
At Inner Hope, we recognize the deep and complex relationship between faith and Indigenous identity. For many, the wounds of history run deep, and the legacy of residential schools has left lasting pain and distrust. The breakdown of trust between Indigenous communities and the church is a reality we acknowledge with humility. As an organization rooted in faith, we feel called to be part of the healing journey—journeying alongside youth and their families with care, respect, and a commitment to reconciliation (an answer to Call to Action #60). A Journey through Invitation Our desire is to walk alongside each person on their unique journey, offering support and encouragement along the way. Faith at Inner Hope is never about force—it is about invitation, about healing, and about a community that welcomes you as you are. We are honored to be part of this journey, learning alongside those we serve and striving to be a bridge toward hope and reconciliation. Summer Camps Through relationships and programs, we support young people in integrating faith with their Indigenous identity in a way that feels authentic to them. Our summer camp program has thrived for years, offering a chance to step away from the city and into a welcoming, adventure-filled environment. Many youth and families return year after year, carrying cherished memories of laughter, friendships, and personal growth. Leadership and Growth For those looking to take the next step, leadership training programs provide an opportunity to develop skills, build confidence, and form friendships beyond their usual circles. |
