Sarah was born in Saskatchewan and spent the first 14 years on the prairies before relocating with her family to the big city of Dallas. A long and winding road took her back to Alberta where she met and married her husband, John, in 2006. They joined staff with Power to Change (then Campus Crusade for Christ) and moved to the Vancouver area to serve on the campus of UBC, with Sarah taking a role in web editing and content for the internet ministry, TruthMedia. With the addition of their twins in 2010 and another little one in 2012, Sarah has stepped back from her roles outside the home to focus on raising children for the past six years. John and Sarah have a heart for the city and moved their family into the heart of downtown Vancouver to raise their children in Gastown. Their love for their neighbourhood has grown and they are passionate about knowing their neighbours and working for the flourishing of their city. Through her involvement at Reality Church, Sarah learned about Inner Hope and began building relationships with the staff, volunteers, youth and families. Her love and investment in the children Inner Hope serves grew as she taught Sunday school each week. Now, as a new season has begun she's excited to take on this new role in building into the next generation.

Andrea grew up on the far side of Abbotsford, surrounded by younger siblings and farm animals. After graduating high school and taking a gap year to volunteer at a kid’s camp on Quadra Island and tour South America with YWAM, she went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Human Services certificate at Trinity Western University. Through her practicum, work, and volunteer experiences Andrea has worked with children and youth from all different walks of life, including running lunch programs for street children in Peru, serving in orphanages in Bolivia, coaching literacy skills with recently immigrated children, participating in mentorship programs, managing an Out-of-School Care, and managing a large drop-in program in a local inner city school. Through all these experiences Andrea has come to realize that she is passionate about providing stability and mentorship in young peoples’ day-to-day lives and being a source of support and genuine care. After years of moving around the Lower Mainland Andrea settled in East Vancouver in June 2015, and has since fallen in love with the vibrant community around her.
