Boundless workshop volunteer
The Boundless program has been a growing program within Inner Hope since 2010. Youth come to the program from unstable family backgrounds, often from environments of addiction, abuse and neglect, which has impaired their life skill development. Participants between the ages of 15 – 19 are matched with adult mentors to work on specific life skills goals in the context of a meaningful relationship.
Boundless hosts a monthly workshop that focuses on exploring and learning a life skill each month. The first 3 hours of the workshop contains interactive life skills teaching followed by a celebratory dinner and sharing time which highlights growth and accomplishments from the previous month.
The meal time is a great time of community, giving many of the youth a rare chance to share what they are accomplishing and to be celebrated and encouraged.
