Inner Hope

Carla left her home province of Ontario as a 17 year old headed for Trinity Western University (TWU) in Langley, British Columbia. During her time at TWU Carla became heavily involved with Youth Extreme, the rowdy youth group from New Beginnings Fellowship Baptist Church in Vancouver. Upon leaving TWU she moved in with Jenny Shantz and began working at New Beginnings as the Youth Director from 2000-2003, and 2004-2008, with the off year being spent freezing in Manitoba while working at a group home with Youth for Christ Portage. Carla currently works full time with Inner Hope Youth Ministries, and has a blast trying to keep the bookkeeping up-to-date and The House running smoothly – often while toting someone else’s baby on her hip. In her “spare time” Carla enjoys reading, creating and cleaning.
